Tuyen (Twin) Pham’s insurance and financial services career began with First American in 1989 where he started in the mailroom, working as a file clerk and runner, and even washing company cars for executives.
After receiving his B.S. from Arizona State University and a MBA from The American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird), Tuyen accepted a position with MetLife as a Group Sales Rep. Honing his skills in medical, dental, life and disability insurance is how he earned Rookie of the Year honors; but it was his Pension/401(k) sales knowledge that set his career in motion. In 1998, he opened MetLife’s first Arizona pension office. He also created and helped implement the first automatic IRA rollover program for MetLife’s 401(k) division. Not too long after, he joined The Guardian and opened their first pension office in Arizona.
Tuyen then joined Safeco Insurance Company in December of 2001 where he opened their first Arizona pension office. In addition to receiving Rep of the Year in his first and second years with the company, Tuyen also helped design a 401(k) product for Safeco’s retirement market.
Tuyen currently serves or has served on several Advisory Committees/Councils, including Great-West Financial, John Hancock, Symetra Financial, Nationwide Financial, Principal Financial Group, Standard Financial, The Association of Builders & Contractors, Metro WorkSource and The Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove. He is also the President of the Alumni Chapter of Thunderbird School of Global Management. Tuyen has his Series 6, 7, 63 and 66 registrations and carries a Life/Health license. He is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and Certified 401(k) Professional (C(k)P®).
With his twenty plus years of experience and vast knowledge of the 401(k) market, Tuyen has become a leading retirement specialist in the industry. He has established over 600 retirement plans and is sought out by industry professionals for his advanced knowledge on product and product designs. Marek Pfeil, CFA

Marek is a financial advisor with Pensionmark Financial Group where he specializes in designing best in-class retirement plans for his clients. With his decades of industry experience, he has coached countless companies and plan fiduciaries on how to best meet their obligations under ERISA and align their corporate goals with their benefits strategy.
Prior to joining Pensionmark, Marek was a Managing Director at SageView Advisory Group where he advised retirement plan sponsor clients on plan design, investment oversight and fiduciary issues. He helped craft SageView’s institutional investment process and chaired the firm’s Investment Committee. Marek also worked at Weyerehaeuser Realty Investors and John Burns Real Estate Consulting, both located in Southern California. He started his career at Cambridge Associates at the firm’s Arlington, Virginia office, and he also spent three years at Sallie Mae.
Marek holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) where he graduated summa cum laude and was a four-year letterman on the men’s tennis team. He has an MBA with a concentration in Finance/Investments from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business. Marek has earned the right to hold the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 security registrations.
When not advocating for his clients, Marek can be found with his wife and two kids looking for the newest sushi restaurant in Orange County. Marek is an avid golfer, enjoys traveling and a “powder hound” in the winter time.
