Daniel Shapiro is committed to helping provide the right retirement plan, the right way to businesses and professionals. Having spent over a dozen years representing a large multi-national insurance company's retirement plan services division, Dan recognized that micro and small plan employers have traditionally been underserved. The goal in establishing his retirement consulting practice was to bring 'large plan services' to the micro and small plan marketplace.
Having worked with over 1,000 qualified retirement plan clients and their employees, Dan is both credentialed and experienced. Now in his twenty-second year in the retirement business, Dan has built a reputation based on delivering quality expertise, clear communication and reliability. Today Dan speaks to various professional groups and associations. Additionally Dan serves as a comprehensive resource for employers as well as other financial service professionals, CPAs and attorneys to help design and implement retirement plan solutions best suited to their own businesses or that of their clients.
As an acknowledged 3(21) fiduciary, Dan endeavors to improve a retirement plan's investment lineup, reduce its expenses and manage the personal fiduciary responsibilities, risks and liabilities that Plan Sponsors face. In some circumstances, 3(38) Investment Manager services may also be available to those Plan Sponsors looking for additional fiduciary support. Dan does this by assisting with the implementation of customized plan design, conducting independent, ongoing investment fiduciary reviews and managing the due diligence process of investment selection and monitoring.
Dan and his beautiful, ever so patient wife Rita, both native Miamians consider their proudest achievement to be raising their two children, Ashley and Joshua, to become fine productive and principled adults. Now, empty nesters, they enjoy sharing in their children's accomplishments, spending time with their extended families, and traveling to see their children as often as possible.
Outside the office and home, Dan is an accomplished competitive martial artist and applies the same discipline and focus when it comes to serving his clients. He also enjoys participating in billfish catch and release fishing tournaments and has served as President of the Palmetto High Wrestling Booster Club - a position that allowed him to make a difference in young men's lives. In addition, he enjoys training and working his two German Shepherd Dogs. Managing Director, Wealth Management
The investment climate has never been more exciting or more challenging than it is today. To take advantage of all available opportunities, investors need two things: an understanding of which investment products are most appropriate for their situation and a relationship with a trustworthy representative who has a clear understanding of their needs.
With over 20 years as a registered financial advisor, I still think back on the advice and lessons my father taught me out of his 50 years in the field of finance. Even though the times and investments have changed dramatically since my father first started out his career, some principles never change. Hard work, dedication to your clients, and good service are still crucial to helping to ensure long-term successfor everyone. Because of these principles, I have earned accolades and titles, been interviewed by the local TV news, and quoted in several different trade magazines. However these pale in comparison to the satisfaction I get from helping my clients pursue their goals and knowing when I have done a good job for them.
